The family wants to extend special appreciation to the staff of Monument Hill Nursing and Rehab and to Hospice Brazos Valley for their kindness and care during her final years.įuneral services are entrusted to Claire Brothers Funeral Home of Houston. She is survived by her sons, Michael Fox and wife Jan of Houston, Wayne Fox of Conroe, Kenneth Fox of Tacoma, Wash., and grandson Jordan Fox of Denver, Colo. JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Glenn Fox, her parents, Alvin and Thelma Icke, and sister, Betty Icke Mullineaux. They were active members of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top and members of the choir. When Glenn and Jo Ann retired from the corporate rat race, they moved to their Round Top farm where they enjoyed the country life. She was an ardent supporter of, and chauffeur for, her sons’ baseball and football activities, which required a lot of time and coordination. Jo Ann became one with a FarmAll Cub tractor, shredding acres and acres of weeds and grass. Glenn and JoAnn acquired rural property which would occupy many weekends with chores and tending cattle. Once they were all in high school, she took a job as a bookkeeper in the auditing department at Sears, Roebuck & Co where she worked for about 25 years. JoAnn spent many years raising their three boys. Soon thereafter they settled in Houston, where they would spend most of their years. Following graduation, she attended Draughon’s Business College where she studied secretarial skills and shorthand and afterwards worked at National Biscuit Company.
